Hand In My Pocket (acoustic) by Alanis Morissette

With the world being as eff-ed up as it is, it’s easy to despair.  There are small things that you can keep close to heart to help keep the despair away.  They include (for me, at least), John Cusack movies, friends, chocolate, Tazo Orange Passion tea with honey, tealight candles, and, today, Alanis Morissette acoustic.

  • Jagged Little Pill is one of the defining albums of the 90s; it’s good to hear the album matured musically and emotionally
  • When read, the lyrics paint a surprisingly coherent view of a life lived simply, hopefully, and happily

I’m broke but I’m happy
I’m poor but I’m kind
I’m short but I’m healthy, yeah

What it all comes down to
Is that everything’s gonna be fine fine fine
‘cause I’ve got one hand in my pocket
And the other one is giving a high five
